Course Overview
The CQHE Level 4 Diploma in Artificial Intelligence qualification aims to offer students a foundational understanding of AI concepts and applications. This diploma encompasses various topics, including the history and principles of AI, machine learning, data science, deep learning, AI ethics, and practical AI applications. Students will engage in hands-on experience with popular AI tools and will develop programming skills in languages such as Python.
Ethical considerations and responsible AI development are emphasised throughout the Diploma. It typically incorporates project work to apply AI knowledge to real-world challenges and prepare students for careers in AI development, data science, machine learning engineering, or further academic pursuits in the field. Assessment methods include exams, assignments, and project evaluations to ensure comprehension of AI principles and their practical application. This programme consists of six mandatory units covering a range of topics with a total of 120 credits for the entire programme.
Entry Requirements:
- Relevant CQHE Level 3 Diploma or equal qualification
or
GCE Advanced Level two passes or equal certification.
or
- Mature students (over 21) having relevant executive level experience.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory.
