Course Overview
The CQHE Level 2 Certificate in Barbering qualification aims to cultivate and empower barbers with essential skills, competencies, and occupational knowledge necessary to excel in their profession. From infection control, health and safety protocols, and business management support to client consultation, hair and scalp treatment, styling, cutting (both traditional and modern styles), beard and moustache grooming, shaving techniques, and the foundational principles of hair science, this qualification covers a wide spectrum of barbering essentials. It provides barbers with the opportunity to gain confidence in practical skills and knowledge while acquiring evidence in a real-world barbering setting. Learners who complete this qualification can advance their careers in employment or self-employment within the hairdressing industry. The programme consists of ten mandatory units covering a range of topics with a total of 60 credits for the entire programme.
Entry Requirements:
- GCE Ordinary Level or equal qualification
- Learner must be 18 years or older at the beginning of the course
