Course Overview
The CQHE Level 7 Diploma in Psychology is a postgraduate qualification designed for learners who wish to develop an advanced understanding of psychological theory, research, and applied practice.
To be eligible for admission, learners must meet one of the following entry routes:
Entry Qualifications
1. Academic Entry Route
Applicants should possess one of the following:
A Bachelor’s degree (UK Level 6 or equivalent international qualification) in Psychology or a closely related discipline such as Education, Social Sciences, or Health Sciences; or
A Level 6 Diploma in Psychology or an equivalent qualification recognised by CQHE.
2. Mature Entry Route (Work Experience Pathway)
Learners aged 25 years or above with substantial professional experience in psychology, counselling, education, healthcare, or human resources may be considered for entry through the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) route.
Applicants must provide:
A detailed CV demonstrating relevant work experience (minimum 3 years); and
A personal statement outlining their motivation and readiness for postgraduate study.
3. English Language Proficiency
As the programme is delivered and assessed in English, learners must demonstrate proficiency through one of the following:
IELTS 6.0 (with a minimum of 5.5 in each band) or equivalent;
Successful completion of a degree or diploma taught in English; or
An internal English proficiency test administered by an approved CQHE centre.
Additional Notes
Learners must have access to a computer and stable internet connection for online learning components.
